Bruins, Buffs co-leaders for Louisiana OL

A pair of leaders have emerged for River Ridge (La.) offensive lineman Aaron Meyer.
“I really like UCLA and Colorado a lot right now,” said the John Curtis Christian standout. “I’d love to go to one of those schools.

“UCLA is just an awesome school, and they have the best recruiters I’ve come in contact with. I really like coach (Eric) Bieniemy and coach (Mark) Weber. They’ve really impressed me. Colorado is up there, too. One thing I really like about them is the way they run the ball. Their style is a good fit for me. I love run blocking, and just about all they do is run, run, run.”
Meyer (6-3, 285, 5.2) has official scholarship offers from both programs, so could a decision be on the horizon?
“Not just yet,” he said. “I want to wait a little bit and maybe see a couple of other schools, make some visits before I announce a decision.”
In addition to the Bruins and Buffaloes, Meyer has scholarship offers from Clemson, Louisville, Northwestern State and UL-Lafayette. He’s also receiving heavy interest from Auburn and Georgia Tech, where he will camp later this month.
“I’m looking forward to spending some time at those two,” he said. “Hopefully, I’ll get some good news from them, too, and have a couple more offers to think about.”
Meyer camped at LSU earlier this summer, but says he has yet to receive substantial interest from the Tigers. He also attended the Mike Hodges technique school for offensive linemen.
It’s been a good offseason for Meyer, who has pushed his max bench and squat to 420 and 585, respectively. He’s also maintaining a 3.2 GPA and has increased his ACT score to 19.
