Bruce talks first offer, visits

Dalis Bruce has picked up his first offer from Oregon State and the Danville (Calif.) Monte Vista defensive back has scheduled a trip to Corvallis and Eugene later this month to visit both Oregon schools.
"I've been talking to the cornerbacks coach mostly, coach Keith Heyward, so they've been recruiting me there," Bruce said of Oregon State. "It's pretty exciting. It took a while but me and coach Heyward talked and I was pretty excited to get that one.

"I'm planning a trip on my way up to see Oregon in Eugene I'm going to stop by Oregon State and that's on April 30. I'll be up there to meet the rest of the coaching staff along with coach Heyward."
Bruce, who looked good at wide receiver at the recent Los Angeles NIKE Camp, just returned from a trip to Colorado.
He got to meet coach Jon Embree and wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy and things are looking good. No offer has been given yet but Bruce feels Colorado is highly interested.
"They gave me a tour of the campus and I stayed for their spring game," Bruce said.
"We built a good relationship while I was there. I also met coach Bobby Kennedy while I was there and then coach Mike Tuiasosopo is headed down here this week to talk to me and catch up a little bit."
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect is headed back on the road again this weekend, taking a trip to Notre Dame for its spring game.
Close friend Bryce Treggs, a wide receiver from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco, is also headed to South Bend so Bruce said he's also really looking forward to this trip.
"I'll be going up to South Bend to see the spring game and I'll be staying overnight to meet the coaches and staff," Bruce said. "It should be a good time."
