It is easy to see why Gardena (Calif.) Serra wide receiver Anthony Boyles has been attracting so much attention over the past few weeks. At 6-foot-2 and the ability to run the 40-yard dash in 4.4-seconds the reason for the national interest is be obvious.
With mail being received from such teams as Southern Cal, UCLA, Oregon, Miami and Fresno State the options are beginning to surface although no team has stepped forward with an offer – yet.

"UCLA has talked about offering me," Boyles said. "I don't have an offer right now, but they've talked to my coach about coming forward with an offer soon."
Even with interest from the Bruins there is one team in particular he has always held a fascination with.
"Fresno State has always been a dream school for me ever since I was younger," he said. "For some reason I've always loved them. My coach keeps asking me why I like them so much, but I can't tell him why. I can't tell anyone why, it's just something I feel."
There is no question Boyles has developed a certain admiration for the Bulldog program. However, with him becoming a national recruit he also sees that Fresno State also provides a great opportunity for him.
"I personally think I have a great opportunity to play at Fresno State," he admitted. "I think I could play early and be one of their top kids out there. I feel like I could play as a freshman there, and I feel the same way about UCLA."
While playing time may play a particular role in the decision-making process for Boyles there are more important things which will help him to ultimately make his decision.
"How the school is academic-wise," he said. "That's basically going to be the main thing for me. I want a good learning environment with set study times so I can focus on my studies. I don't' want to have to worry about finding the time to study."
Boyles currently holds a 2.8 GPA which he says is on an upward climb and he intends to take his SAT in May.
