Brown trying to heal

Antioch, Tenn. running back Preston Brown has not had his senior year go quite as expected. Early in the season this year he took a shot to the back and it cracked one his vertebrae, but he's set to return for this week's game.
"I have been getting a few calls, not as many as I thought I would though," Brown said. "Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Kentucky and Auburn have been calling me. Oklahoma State is really doing a good job, they call me every chance they get, once a week I can expect a call from them."

The 5-foot-9, 180-pound Brown attended the Oxford NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, the shuttle in 4.2 seconds, has a 30-inch vertical jump and does 20 reps on the bench press.
"I was planning on going to most of the Tennessee games this year, but I haven't been to any so far," Brown said. "With the injury and all I haven't really felt like going anywhere I am just trying to get healed up to play again. I start playing again this week so I will probably start trying to go to some games."
Brown is ranked as the No. 9 all-purpose back in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Tennessee by Rivals.com.
