Brown talks latest offers, upcoming visits

Five-star running back Damien Harris has garnered most of the headlines in the state of Kentucky's 2015 class, but fellow Rivals250 prospect Eli Brown has a hot recruitment of his own going.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Brown, out of Bowling Green (Ky.) Warren East, has seen his list rise to seven offers after a trio came through the week of National Signing Day.

"Penn State, Ole Miss and USC came through right around Signing Day," Brown said.
The offer from Penn State was actually the second time James Franklin offered Brown. He also offered him when he was the head coach at Vanderbilt, and Brown has a close relationship with linebackers coach Brent Pry.
Another school Brown has developed a close relationship with the linebacker coach is Ole Miss, and he is working on a spring visit to Oxford.
"I am pretty close with the Ole Miss coach," Brown said. "He is trying to offer me as a linebacker coming off the end. He likes the speed I have."
Brown does not have a date scheduled for that Ole Miss visit yet, nor does he have one for Ohio State but both schools are on his list of places to see this spring. A date for another trip to Kentucky has been scheduled.
"The 29th [of March] I will be going to UK for their spring practices with my coach so we can sit in meetings with them and watch film," Brown said. "I love Coach [Mark] Stoops and Coach [Neal] Brown is a great recruiting coach. I like what [they] are doing so far."
Ranked as the No. 110 player in the class of 2015, Brown has not completely determined a timetable for rendering his final decision.
"I am still undecided about that," he said. "At first I wanted to wrap it up before the season starts, but now my coach told me to slow it down and take my time so I guess I am going to wait until after football season to make my decision."
