Brown starts to get attention

Thomas Brown was one of the top linebackers at the recent Los Angeles NIKE Camp and now with offers from Arizona State and SMU things are looking up for the prospect from Gardena (Calif.) Serra.
Arizona State has been especially active with Brown, a 6-foot-2, 212-pound prospect who said he's also hearing from Colorado, Nebraska and Oregon State.

Although the Sun Devils have offered and are showing tons of interest Brown said he plans to wait on making a commitment to see what other programs get involved. Still, he likes what Arizona State's coaching staff is saying and wants to get out and visit soon.
"Arizona State got involved about two weeks ago," Brown said. "They offered me seeing how athletic I was on the field at the linebacker position.
"They explained to me about how many linebackers they have leaving next year and they could really use me in the middle to fill those shoes. That stood out to me that I would be getting early playing time as long as I was executing what I'm supposed to do. That really stood out to me. They're really trying to see that I get out there."
Brown said SMU has also sent paperwork saying that it wanted to offer him so now with two offers the Southern California prospect is hoping more schools get involved.
He was impressive at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp and thinks more exposure this spring and summer could garner him more offers.
"I'm very excited about the offers and I'm really keeping my options to see what else is coming," Brown said.
"I'm not really too picky and I don't want to jump into any commitment yet. I'm just seeing what comes."
