Brown stands out at combine

It lools like another strong year in Nevada next year and one player to definitely keep an eye on is Las Vegas (Nev.) Spring Valley defensive back Corbin Brown.
Brown, 6-0, 161 pounds had a big junior season totaling 104 tackles and six picks to earn 1st team all-conference and all-region honors. The talented DB will be a four year starter and is one of the top safety recruits in the region.

We had a chance to check out Brown this past weekend at the NIKE Combine in Phoenix (Ariz.) where he showed why he'll be one of the state's best next season.
Brown clocked a 4.63-40, 4.06 in the shuttle and jumped 34 inches in the vertical. His 73.43 SPARQ Rating was good enough to rank among the 10 best at the event.
On the recruiting front, Brown attended UCLA's recent Junior Day and is hearing from a host of schools right now.
"I'm hearing from all the schools in the Pac 10 along with Florida," Brown said. "Right now, I like UCLA, Cal, Florida and Arizona State but I'm still waiting my first offer.
"I'm training hard, working out about six days a week now to try and impress at the different camps and combines this spring and summer. I feel I did well today and was happy with my numbers. I know I need to get stronger but I'm working on it."
