ORLANDO, Fla. - After helping his Miami (Fla.) Norland team to a 38-0 victory over Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla to claim the Class 5A State Championship, inside linebacker Keith Brown shed a bit of light on his recruitment.
"I am still committed to Illinois," Brown said. "Louisville is in the running. Ohio State is up there. And of course Miami."

With regards to Illinois, and their recent hire of Tim Beckman, Brown said he had not had an opportunity to speak with the new Illini head coach yet.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound inside linebacker recently took his fifth and final official visit, last weekend, when he traveled to check out Louisville.
"Louisville was awesome," Brown said. "It was a great visit. I enjoyed myself. I got to know the coaches very well. I was up there with Teddy (Bridgewater) and some former teammates that I played with in little league. So I enjoyed myself."
The four-star defender had previously officially visited Illinois, Clemson, Purdue, and South Florida, in addition to Louisville.
Recently, a new school has come into the picture.
"I started hearing from them (Ohio State) since Urban Meyer got the job," Brown said. "I have been talking to Coach Meyer, Coach (Luke) Fickell, and Coach (Stan) Drayton."
While he has no official visits remaining, Brown is hoping to take a trip to Columbus to check out the Buckeyes on his own dime.
"I am going to try to get up there," Brown said. "I have told them I am going to try to make it.
"They are eliminated if I don't go," Brown added.
As for when Brown, an early enrollee, will conclude his recruitment. That won't be until early January.
"I am going to make my final decision at the Army Game," Brown said.
The Rivals250 prospect explained what will help him to separate one school from the other.
"It comes down to academics, that is for my mom, and playing time," Brown said. "Location is not really a factor."
Brown finished his senior season with 100-plus tackles and a sack.
