Brown planning Big 10 trip

Jermani Brown is still in the early stages of his recruitment but he had an excellent visit to Arizona State last weekend with some Calabasas, Calif., teammates even though the Sun Devils got pounded by USC. Brown has already been offered by ASU and a bunch of other programs but does not want to rush a list of favorites.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Brown is always open to traveling to games with his teammates - he was at Arizona State with fellow 2017 recruits Tristan Gebbia and Keyshawn Johnson, Jr. - and he has another important trip coming up in the next few weeks. Originally from the St. Louis area, Brown said he's planning to take an unofficial visit to Michigan State when the Spartans host Indiana on Oct. 24.
IN HIS WORDS: "The (ASU) visit was great," Brown said. "I had a really great time at the game. I talked to the coaches and recruiters and got to know the program better. It was a great experience. I can't wait to be on the big stage and play in front of thousands of people. Being on the field made me feel like I was about to play."
RIVALS' REACTION: Brown has a lot of big offers already but it's still early. Neither of the local schools have offered and neither has Nebraska, which is being seriously considered by some top Calabasas prospects. Ohio State and many others are showing interest so at this point Brown doesn't seem to have a legitimate favorite.
