Brown looking at two schools

Running back Andre Brown is one of the hottest prospects of the year in the region. There has been speculation for a while that Brown is only seriously considering two schools. Is that the case?
"It's pretty much a two-school race between NC State and Virginia," said Brown. "That would be the most accurate thing to say. I've got a visit to NC State coming up on Jan. 9, and I plan on making my decision right after that."

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound back from Greenville (N.C.) Rose was as good as any skill position player in the state this year, combining power between the tackles with speed to turn the corner. Does NC State have an advantage with his visit to Raleigh just before his decision?
"I don't think so," he said. "The trip to Virginia was way back in September, but that's not a big deal. It was my first visit, so I remember everything really well. They've stayed in contact, so all the positives are still in the front of my mind."
Brown runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and is rated the No. 9 running back in the nation by Rivals100.com. He's seen his stock rise in recent weeks with strong performances in the Shrine Bowl and the 4A state championship game.
