Brown getting around

Waller, Texas defensive tackle Eddie Brown is on the verge of seeing his recruiting process take off.
Coming in at the 6-foot-1 mark at the Rivals.com Junior Day in Houston, Texas, the 266-pounder holds one verbal offer from Oklahoma and several other schools are showing him interest.

"Oklahoma is the only school that has said I'm going to be offered," Brown said. "But, I'm also getting attention from Texas A&M and others. I went down to Texas A&M's junior day."
Brown says that the junior day in College Station, Texas was definitely a trip that he really enjoyed
"A&M just fit me," Brown said. "I just liked the environment there. I got a chance to meet a lot of the different players from around the state and the food was good too. It was all pretty cool."
Brown says that he receives hand written mail from Texas and is going to try and make a junior day there later this month. Texas Tech is also a school that he's trying to take a trip to.
"I'm probably going to Texas Tech on Feb. 17," Brown said. "I like them, so I'm excited about that too."
Waiting around for a decision is something that Brown doesn't plan on doing.
"I want to make an early commitment so I can start focusing on my grades," Brown said. "That way, I'm done, and I don't have to worry about during the season."
