Brown focuses on four

The way defensive tackle DeAngelo Brown of Savannah (Ga.) Christian School sees it, even if he doesn't get another offer he's sitting pretty.
"I'd like more, but the four I've got are great ones," he said.

Thus far, the offers have come from Louisville, Mississippi State, South Florida and Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-1, 285-pound Brown visited the Cardinals and Commodores last month. He'll check out Mississippi State for a camp July 22, and hopes to make his way to USF later this summer.
"The Louisville visit was nice," Brown said. "I liked the coaches and talking to Coach [Charlie] Strong. I really liked it. I liked Vanderbilt a lot, too. I like the new staff. They're real down to earth and they're bringing in good recruits. The future looks good for them."
Which visit stood out?
"To tell you the truth, I liked both of them a lot," Brown said. "I don't have a leader. I want to see Mississippi State and USF before narrowing it down."
Besides the four schools that have offered, Brown has been communicating with two other programs.
"Georgia Tech and Florida Atlantic," he said. "I think Georgia Tech is going to offer soon. I've been talking to Coach [Lamar] Owens and he said I'm real high up on their list. He said the coaches really like me."
For now, Brown is shooting for a late-August or early September decision.
