Brown even with all programs

CARSON, Calif. - Thomas Brown has said for a while that Arizona State was his favorite but now that SMU and Colorado have offered the Gardena (Calif.) Serra inside linebacker said he wants to back up a little bit and look at all programs involved without having a top team.
Colorado is the latest offer for Brown, a 6-foot-2, 212-pound prospect who looked the part Thursday at the Big Man on Campus Under the Lights 7-on-7 Tournament at The Home Depot Center.

Since more schools are getting involved Brown said he wants to research each team with an open mind.
"I feel like everybody wants to see me succeed against better competition which I'm excited to do because I love to play with people bigger and better than me," Brown said. "I'm just excited to get out there and compete.
"I don't really know about favorites. ASU is there but SMU and Colorado are also there so I'm just picking and choosing as I go. I'm not trying to put a stamp on where I want to go. I'm just trying to play out the season and see where everything takes me."
Brown, who's transferred to Serra for his senior season from Long Beach St. Anthony's, said he has camped at UCLA already and plans to work out at the upcoming USC Rising Stars Camp. A stop at the B2G Elite Camp at UCLA next week is also being planned.
The Bruins and Oregon are mainly the two programs showing lots of interest in Brown, who looked good earlier this spring at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp. Oregon State has also been on his list for a while.
Brown doesn't expect to make his college decision until sometime during his senior season.
"I'm going to wait for the season to announce where I want to go," said Brown, who finished with 90 tackles in his junior season.
"Those two schools (UCLA and Oregon) are the next two schools most likely to offer so I'm just waiting to hear from them."
