Brown close to finalizing his visits

Lakewood (Calif.) linebacker Luthur Brown will take this next weekend to rest up but from then on, he’ll be one busy camper. Brown has one visit set for December and will then take four more in January as well as participating in the CaliFlorida Bowl.
Brown, 6-3, 230 pounds had a monster senior season and might have been the best player we saw in person all year. He’s big, fast and tough and when you combine that with a great motor and huge hunger to win and be the best, it’s no wonder Brown is one of the nation’s elite prospects.

“I’m going to be visiting Oklahoma (Dec. 17),” Brown said. “After that, I’ll be enjoying Christmas and then will be heading to Florida for the CaliFlorida Bowl January 2. The weekend of (Jan. 7) I’ll be taking a visit to either Ohio State or Arizona but I’m not sure which one yet. I’ll figure that out later. Both are good schools and I’m just going to wait until I get home to figure where I’m going that weekend.
“The following weekend (Jan. 14) I’m going to LSU, (Jan. 21) will be USC and I’ll visit Miami (Jan. 28). I’ll likely be ready to make my decision sometime around Signing Day. Right now, I really don’t have a leader. I haven’t been to any of these schools except USC and LSU so I don’t know what is all out there. I want to go in to this with an open mind and give each school a fair chance. After my last visit, I’ll sit down with my coaches and family and decide where the best place for me is.”
