Brown cancels Syracuse trip

Tampa (Fla.) Blake dual-threat quarterback Micah Brown was scheduled to travel the New York over the weekend, but was forced to change his plans. He plans to reschedule the trip, though, and will take three other visits before making a decision.
“I had to cancel it,” Brown explained. “It was just little situation at the house.

“I talked to Coach Bush about it, and he is supposed to call tomorrow about rescheduling.” Brown will travel to South Carolina this weekend (Jan. 16), before closing out his visit schedule with Tennessee St. (Jan. 23) and Fort Valley State (Jan. 30). Two schools are interested in having him play quarterback, and that may be the deciding factor.
“Tennessee State and Fort Valley State want me as a quarterback,” Micah said. “Syracuse and South Carolina say they will take me in at quarterback, but might possibly move me to another position. I really want to play quarterback.”
Brown stands 6-foot-1, weighs 185 pounds, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds, and as a senior, threw for 912 yards, nine touchdowns, and six interceptions. He plans to take all of his visits before making a final decision.
