Brown back to normal

Humble, Texas running back Reggie Brown remembers it clearly.
After one of the better years of any sophomore running back in the area, he had an early injury going into his junior year that put him on the sidelines for the entire season. Back close to 100 percent, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound Brown is ready to go back to where he started.

"Things are really going great," Brown said. "I'm running just fine now and I just got released to really go full-speed last week. I feel like my old self again."
Apparently his injury hasn't hurt college attention. Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, UCLA, Georgia Tech, LSU, and TCU have all been sending frequent mail. Brown even got a chance to take in the junior day at Texas A&M just recently.
"It was nice down there," Brown said about his trip to College Station. "We got a chance to talk to our position coach. They talked about their interest in me and they hoped to see me doing a great job on the field over the spring and in the fall.
"I think things will start to pick up for me again. I'm not going to let the injury set me back."
As for a favorite, an out-of-state team is in that position for Brown.
"Right now I like LSU quite a bit," Brown said. "I like how they set their offense up and run the ball a lot. I'm going to try to get out there for a visit. Nobody here has offers yet, but we're not getting impatient. We're just waiting."
Brown also plans on taking in the NIKE Training Camp at College Station on April 22. Camps and off-season workouts are what he's planning to do in order to show everyone that he's back.
"Senior year, that's my top priority right now," he said. "I'm working harder than ever before."
