Brown attracting attention

Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley 2015 defensive tackle Robert Brown is a big presence in the middle of the defense at 6-foot-3, 330-pounds, and the college coaches are taking notice.
He has been hearing from Oklahoma State and attended a practice when the Cowboys were in the area preparing for the Cotton Bowl. He caught attention with his performance this summer at the Texas camp. Notre Dame invited him to their game against Arizona State in Dallas.
This spring he mentioned possibly attending junior days at Texas and LSU, and he would like to take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame.
He is waiting patiently to see who will offer first but there are a few schools showing more attention than the others at this time.
"Right now it would have to be the University of Houston, Oklahoma, TCU, Notre Dame, Iowa State, and Oregon," Brown said. "Oregon is like the No. 1."
The Oregon Ducks have been showing the most attention and Brown has taken some initiative and reached out to the coaching staff.
"Yes, I talked to the d-line coach on the phone and he was talking about the kind of DTs they're looking for," Brown said. "They're looking for fast DTs and people who can move around a lot. They sent me like a million letters. I'm just waiting on that offer."
In addition to the Ducks, he also feels Iowa State and Oklahoma are showing strong interest. One program which was also showing considerable interest was Texas, and he hopes to hear more from the Longhorns in the future.
"My coach had a lot connections up there but ever since Mack Brown got fired and some staff resigned they haven't been in contact," Brown said. "They'll be in contact though. I have to make a few calls up there and try to get recruited. I have to get on the map."
Brown plans to attend the NFTC and the Rivals Camp Series, and has also been invited to attend Colorado State's junior day February first, which happens to be the day before his birthday.
