Broughton makes it two

A defensive end that is under the radar no longer would be at Dallas (Texas) Hillcrest high school where the 6-foot-6, 240-pound Braylon Broughton broke the ice with a Kansas offer some time ago and has now added another.
Coach Clayton George is pretty happy with the way things are going for his defensive star and after the Jayhawks made the initial scholarship offer, TCU joined the mix with one of their own. Needless to say, they just keep coming.

"I'm getting tons of stuff for him everyday," George said. "After Kansas and TCU, I'm just waiting on the others to come in for him."
Iowa State, Michigan State, Iowa, and Minnesota have been teams knocking on the door. George said he is not sure who will be next to send an offer, but Broughton has a coach he does talk about quite a bit.
"I know he really liked coach Ron Aiken from Iowa," George said. "He seemed to really hit it off with him and he also really likes his Kansas offer because it's like the first bike, you're always excited about the first one."
TCU and Kansas could be considered early favorites, but Broughton is keeping things wide open.
"He told me that he's just enjoying it all right now," Broughton said. "I remember he said, 'Coach I'm just having fun with all of this and I don't really have a top team or anything yet.'"
The process for making a decision will start with Broughton's mother.
"I need to bring her in and explain to her about the process," George said. I'd like for him to do it before the season starts. If not, he may take the chance to see if anything better is out there for him."
