Broughton hoping rumor is true

Treshon Broughton has heard the rumors about an offer from Nebraska but since he hasn't talked with the coaches yet he is unsure where he stands with the Huskers.
In the last couple weeks, there has been talk that the Tustin (Calif.) Vista Murrieta cornerback had been offered by Nebraska but it would be news to Broughton if it were true.

Since he has not talked with the Nebraska coaching staff yet, Broughton is going to hold out hope - and not claim an offer from the Huskers yet.
"I just have my two offers and some people are saying I've been offered by Nebraska," Broughton said. "I don't know if I have one for sure because I haven't spoken to the coaches personally. I don't want to say anything until I hear from them.
"I haven't talked to them over the phone. My coaches have talked to them. Someone said they offered me but I haven't talked to them yet so I'm not sure."
If Nebraska came through with an offer Broughton said it would be a major deal and something to seriously consider.
So far, Oregon State and New Mexico State have offered and Broughton said the Huskers would move way up if the offer rumors turned out to be true.
At this point in his recruitment, Oregon State stands out the most and the rising cornerback said he hasn't really heard from many other programs. He's hoping to get much more exposure in his senior season.
"It would be a huge offer from Nebraska," Broughton said. "It would be great to get because football is huge there and that's the kind of place I'd like to go.
"At the moment I don't really have a leader. I need to communicate with the coaches (at Oregon State) more but if there is a leader right now it would be Oregon State."
