Broughton follows up on visit talk

Late last month, Dallas (Texas) Hillcrest defensive end Braylon Broughton called an temporary end to his recruiting process that had really blown up seemingly in a matter of months, with his commitment to Iowa.
Upon committing, the 6-foot-6, 240-pound Broughton made it clear that his verbal was a soft one and he intended on taking trips. It appears he has one visit set and is already in the process of setting up his schedule.

"I talked to Iowa State about a visit in December, but I know right now that Kansas will be Dec. 2," Broughton said. "Iowa State isn't all set yet, but Kansas is all ready to go."
One thing that Broughton has appreciated is the fact that Iowa has put no pressure on him to not take trips.
"No not at all," Broughton said about Iowa's recruitment. "They just said I committed to them, that means a lot, and they understand my situation. I mean I talk to them every week."
Iowa State and Baylor are both offers now on the table for Broughton as well. The Pac-10 got involved last week.
"Yeah, Arizona came through last week with an offer," Broughton said. "I don't know. It's funny how when you commit, then everybody starts coming. After my trips in December, I'll have a firm decision on where I'm going."
Broughton's Hillcrest team is off to a 4-2 start but he has been slowed down by a minor injury.
"I've got turf toe that has kept me out since last week," Broughton said. "I'm just supposed to be out this week and be back for the Woodrow Wilson game. We play Sergio Kindle so we're kind of already working on that. We haven't gone over the stunts yet, but I might be moving over the d-tackle that game."
