Brookville has even more talent in 2010

Rivals100 defensive end Zack McCray isn't the only prospect at Lynchburg (Va.) Brookville in the 2010 recruiting class. One other prospect already holds and offer and according to head coach Jeff Woody there are a few others to keep an eye on.
"He's getting a lot of mail from schools including Virginia Tech," Woody said of wide receiver Lorenzo Smith. "He's got an offer from Richmond already as well.

"Lorenzo looks good though. He can run in the 4.4's and is a converted tailback. He can move and shake. He is a Reggie Bush type of guy. He can run, catch and you can even put him in the backfield.
"Once May 1st comes, we expect more scholarships. He's a burner and a really good defensive back. He loves contact and wants to hit people."
Another prospect to watch is 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker Zach Burns.
"He's a three-year starter and had 170 tackles in 14 games. He's a really good player tackle to tackle, not quite sideline to sideline. He may be a guy for Liberty, but he's a hardworker and intelligent."
Rounding out the 2010 class is 6-foot-3, 195-pound athlete Alec Thompson.
"He may move to quarterback for us and has a good arm," he said. "He's a straight A student with great hands and plays wide receiver for us right now. He has a knack for going up and getting the ball. His speed isn't tremendous, but he's got height on him and is a good athlete, very coachable."
Meanwhile, Brookville may have another star to watch in 2011 in 5-foot-9, 175-pound running back Ben Simmons.
"He started a couple games last year and rushed for 500-yards and averaged eight-yards a carry," he said. "He's ambitious and wants the world. He's working hard to get it. He'll be the featured back next year and he's a mover and shaker. He can make you miss and is a crowd favorite."
