Brooks with three offers

Terrence Brooks is a cornerback prospect from the Sunshine State. Brooks, 5-10 and 169 pounds, is from Dunnellon (Fla.) High School. Last season he recorded 53 tackles, three pass break ups, six interceptions and two forced fumbles. Offensively he had 500 rushing yards, 15 receptions and scored15 touchdowns.
"I am a lockdown corner that can take away one side of the field," Brooks said. "I make teams go away from me. I know I need to get bigger and I am at workouts every morning. I am going hard and doing the best I can."

So far Brooks has three scholarship offers – Central Florida, FSU and Miami.
"I am also expected ones from Tulane and South Florida and I have been talking with coaches from Florida and Texas Tech a lot.
"UCF was the first offer. It was kind of shocking to me. I didn't know what to say or how to take it but it was exciting. They are a program that is trying to make it to the top. The coaches are very welcoming and they want to win. I have been up there and I like it. It's pretty nice and a place where you have so much to do.
"FSU is a good school and I think there is a playing time there. It's funny, because around here (Dunnellon) everyone is a Gator and no one likes FSU. I recently went up there (FSU) for a junior day with that same attitude but Florida State changed my perception for sure. They really changed my mind and I like them.
"I have not been to Miami yet so it's hard to say where they stand. I know they are a real aggressive defense and I like that."
So where does everything stand with Mr. Brooks?
"I am still open and not put together any lists at this time. I am just evaluating teams and doing my research."
Brooks is expected to go to Central Florida's spring game this weekend.
