Brooks Still Has Slight Favorite

Ahmad Brooks missed out on the big gathering of talent at the Virginia-Florida State game, but it doesn’t change the way he feels about the Cavaliers.
“They called me this weekend and made sure I knew that a spot was ready for me as a true freshman,” said the 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker from Woodbridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton. “There still at the top by a little bit. Not much has changed.”

That means that Brooks is still visiting Virginia Tech on December 14th and Virginia on January 18th. He’ll also take a trip to Florida State and perhaps take trips to Tennessee and either Miami or Penn State.
“Right now I’m concentrating on the season,” he said. “We just beat Dumfries 35-20 and recruiting will take center stage soon.”
Brooks had eight tackles and a sack in the win over Dumfries and got to play against buddy Keenan Carter.
“Keenan got bigger,” he said with a laugh. “I hit him once and I don’t think he even felt it.”
