Brooks makes it official for SMU

The visit weekend went well for SMU as they've added their second commitment since this morning from another local prospect.
This time the pledge came from Arlington (Texas) Martin offensive tackle J.T. Brooks who made it official for the Mustangs on Sunday.

"I just liked everything I saw," Brooks said. "It was close to home and coach Tim Beck from Kansas told me they were almost full.
"I really just loved the coaches at SMU and stuff. Coach Bennett is a great guy and the location is great."
Brooks was being recruited by coach Larry Edmondson from SMU.
"He was a really good guy and he did a great job staying in contact with me," Brooks said. "This is probably going to be it for me. I'm all set for SMU."
Brooks also held scholarship offers from Tulsa and Rice.
