Brooks interested in coach search

One of the big reasons why Julian Brooks committed to Arizona in August was because of the coaching staff and now that coach Mike Stoops has been fired the Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon wide receiver isn't so certain about his future.
"I don't know where it puts me," Brooks said.

"I obviously don't want to close doors with other schools. I loved the coaching staff. Coach (David) Nichol, coach Stoops, coach (Seth) Littrell, coach (Robert) Anae. I liked all those coaches."
Brooks, who has 16 receptions for 311 yards and seven touchdowns so far in his senior season, said it's crucial to his recruitment how Arizona moves forward with its coaching search.
Since he plays wide receiver, and loved Arizona's offensive system under Stoops, Brooks is definitely looking to play in a pass-first scheme. If the Wildcats move in another direction it could be a concerning factor in his final decision.
"I think it's important who they hire next," Brooks said. "It wouldn't be smart for me to go somewhere with a coach that's a run-dominant coach."
Arizona State, Colorado, Fresno State, Oregon State, Utah State and Washington State have also offered Brooks, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect who said he's definitely considering other visits at this point.
Trips are most likely going to happen to Arizona State and Colorado and Brooks said he's also considering a visit to Washington State. Making sure he sees everything available to him is crucial now that the Arizona coaching situation is in flux.
"I'm probably going to take a few visits," Brooks said. "I'm still obviously going to visit Arizona, too."
