Brooks has tough choices

Three-star offensive tackle Brandon Brooks isn't just deciding between schools.
He's deciding between divisions.

Brooks of Milwaukee (Wis.) Riverside is heavily considering playing D-IAA ball despite several D-I offers including that of Wisconsin, the school he was previously committed to.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Brooks also has picked up a few more offers from both divisions.
"Temple offered me, Kent State offered me, UMass, Richmond and Illinois State offered me," Brooks said.
However, Brooks holds two teams above the rest.
"Miami and the University of Richmond," Brooks said. "They have really good academics and they play good football."
The biggest difference between the two though may be that Richmond is only a DI-AA school. However, it doesn't seem that playing D-I is overly important to Brooks.
"Not really, because I want to feel comfortable so I think that if you're good you will be no matter where you go," Brooks said. "Richmond still plays one or two D-I schools a year too."
Brooks has also been out getting a look at a couple of these schools.
"I went to Richmond the Thursday before the dead period and then to Temple that weekend," Brooks said.
Brooks seemed to find a very comfortable environment for himself at Richmond as well as Temple.
"The Richmond trip was fun," he said. "The campus was really nice. It was beautiful. They have really good academics. You can't play football forever so you have to have something to fall back on. The Temple trip when I went out there everything was really nice. Everything is brand new and state of the art. I also feel I have a chance to play right away. I got along with the coaches really well."
However, whether or not Brooks decides to play D-I football, make no mistake. He has D-I talent.
