Brooks Has Leader, But Its Close

Ahmad Brooks is confused. He’s not confused about what teams he’d like to visit or the recruiting process in general. He’s confused why some recruiting publications have his leader as Virginia Tech.

“Maybe they got it backwards,” said the 6-foot-3, 230-pound outside linebacker, ranked as the top outside ‘backer in the country. “Virginia is my leader right now. My parents like it there and I feel comfortable there. That’s not saying that I don’t like Virginia Tech because they’re way up there too. But I never said I liked Tech better than Virginia.”

Brooks has an official visit to Virginia Tech set for December 14th and will trip to Virginia on January 18th. He’ll set up his other visits soon.

“I’m going to Florida State and Tennessee too,” he said. “I’ll probably go to a fifth school as well. Maybe Miami or Penn State.”

Brooks has led his team to a 5-0 record and has been playing linebacker and tailback.
