Brooks Coach Confirms

Woodbridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton linebacker Ahmad Brooks reportedly committed to Virginia today at his press conference. His coach tells us if it's true and why.
"Ahmad chose Virginia today," said C.D. Hylton head coach Bill Brown of his 6-foot-3, 230-pound star linebacker. "He had alot of reasons, but I think it was the coaches in the end that decided things. He really liked the coaching staff there and the way they recruited him."

Brooks, the top-ranked outside linebacker in the country, chose the Cavaliers over Virginia Tech, Tennessee and Florida State. He was also influenced by fellow commitment Kai Parham.
"Ahmad has a great deal of respect for Kai and I know he wanted to play on the same team," said Brown. "He respects his ability and the way he carries himself and the two of them will make a great combo at Virginia."
Brooks was said to be confused and torn between his four schools, but in the end his decision was made easy.
"He really liked all the teams," he said. "The coaches at each school were great to him, but he had a different bond with the UVA coaches. They felt like part of his family to him."
