Brooklyn RB has three offers
Brooklyn (N.Y.) Canarsie all-purpose back Steven Rene is one of the top prospects in the Empire State for the Class of 2010, and right now he holds three offers.
Rene has not spoken publicly much about the recruiting process thus far, but in this recent interview he discussed everything that has transpired in recent weeks.

He just finished up with a Football University event held in Philadelphia.
"It was real good. The competition and everything was good," he said. "I liked the drills and got better at a lot of stuff. Everything was wonderful. I performed real good and went 110-percent, just like they told me to. I wasn't quitting out there."
The 5-foot-8, 173-pound back might not be the kind of player that will carry the ball 30 times per game, but he is dangerous when he gets his hands on the ball in space.
Rene holds offers from Syracuse, Hofstra and Stony Brook, but he isn't thinking too much about that yet.
"They've offered but I'm not really gonna focus on that so much because I've still got school. I'm only a junior right now and a lot can happen."
Rene believes Rutgers, Maryland, Duke, Vanderbilt and Purdue will consider extending offers later in the process.
"I was supposed to visit Rutgers but I really don't know. I've got to talk to my aunt. She's sort of like my manager. She knows more about football than my parents, so I've got to talk to her about what we're going to do."
Rene said some schools are recruiting him as a running back while others like him as a cornerback.
"To be honest I really don't care. I just feel like I'm an athlete. I can play any position on the field."
While Rene does not want to think about the recruiting scene too much, he admits that one school is standing out at the top of his list.
"Rutgers," he said when asked about his favorite. "I went to their spring game and I saw their facilities when they gave me a tour around. The coaches have called me and they write me and e-mail me, telling me they want me to come to their camp."
