Broiles checking out options

Oklahoma City (Okla.) John Marshall 2017 cornerback Justin Broiles has a swagger to his game. He is a bigger defensive back at 6-foot, but he also brings quickness and versatility to the table. He plays cornerback and safety and a variety of positions on special teams.
"I just try to bring hardwork and effort, show the young guys, and give them someone to follow behind and lead by example," Broiles said.

His example and his overall athleticism has attracted college attention. Oklahoma State, TCU, SMU, Michigan, Texas Tech, and Kansas are all showing considerable interest. Scholarship offers have already arrived from Tulsa and Arkansas State, and he is extremely appreciative of both opportunities.
"They mean a lot to me since they came my sophomore year," Broiles said. "A lot of people thought I would be a late senior year guy but to get them my sophomore year meant a lot to me."
He has already taken unofficial visits to Tulsa, Oklahoma State, and TCU, and he will visit Texas Tech over the weekend. He plans to take another trip to Alabama soon.
The recruiting process is already off to a fast start, and Broiles is enjoying the process. However, he does admit one college program has caught his attention at this early point.
"Early schools? TCU. TCU would be the early school that is standing out so far," Broiles said. "Coach Gonzales, that's my dude. When I came up there and camped he really took me in. He really showed me their ways. He gave me a tour around the campus. It was just a great feeling."
Broiles is currently ranked a 5.5, three-star prospect, and No. 9 in the Rivals.com Initial Top 10 of 2017.
