Britt ready for LSU official visit

If anyone’s going to catch Alabama in the race for four-star Cullman (Ala.) defensive tackle Justin Britt, the key factors may develop in the next four to five weeks.
Britt (6-4, 250, 4.8) will take an official visit to LSU this weekend for the Tigers’ game against Florida, and has another official visit tentatively scheduled for Nov. 14 at Georgia when the Bulldogs square off with Auburn.

“Alabama is still the team to beat right now with my two brothers being there and everything, but it’s still open at this point,” he said. “That’s why I’m taking these official visits. I’m pretty much down to those three schools. I just need to see everything at LSU and Georgia, find out if it feels right, if I could fit in there as well as I could at Alabama.”
Britt made an unofficial visit to Georgia last weekend as the Bulldogs rolled past the Crimson Tide. He says he came away very impressed.
“Georgia’s an outstanding team,” he said. “They just have everything going well right now. I don’t think they’re the most talented team compared to some of the other SEC schools, but the coaches are very impressive to me. They seem to be on top of things.”
Britt also made an unofficial visit to Florida for the Tennessee game – and was considering the Gators at one point – but decided that Gainesville was “nice, but just too far away.”
As a senior, Britt has helped lead Cullman to a 5-1 record and the No. 3 ranking in Class 5A. He’s recorded 40-plus tackles, nine tackles for loss, seven sacks and three blocked kicks.
“I’ve got a blocked punt, a blocked extra point and I blocked a field goal in a game that we won 3-0, so that was a pretty cool feeling,” he said.
