Brinkman likes chilly Purdue trip

Going from Florida to Indiana can be a shock to the system when you think about the changes of temperature, and that was one of the things that stood out the most about the visit to Purdue for two-star receiver Chip Brinkman. But good news for Purdue was that it wasn’t the only thing.
“It was 19 degrees up there,” his mother, Linda Brinkman, said. “But that would be the only think he didn’t like. It was a totally first class visit and he was very impressed.”

So was Brinkman, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound receiver from Bellair (Fla.) Central Catholic impressed enough to commit like some thought he might?
“I don’t believe he did,” his mother said. “But he had a really, really good time. I think he’s got them at the top of his list, but he still is thinking about things.”
Brinkman is set to visit Georgia Tech on January 16. He has scholarship offers from both Purdue and Georgia Tech.
