Bridges talks leaders, eyes visits

Matthews (N.C.) Butler safety Mark Bridges holds five scholarships. In recent weeks, interest is piling up from a number of other teams for the 5-foot-11, 186-pounder.
"Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, East Carolina, Auburn and NC State have asked for film to reevaluate me," he said. "Duke contacted me the other day and I talked to North Carolina, Coach Pearman at Clemson and Towson."

Bridges holds offers at this time from Central Michigan, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Presbyterian and Towson.
With quite a bit of interest developing, does the two-star prospect have plans for visits coming up?
"Duke called and wants me to come up with Colin Parsons on a visit next Saturday, I'm thinking about joining him on that," he said. "I definitely plan to take all of the official visits I can take and I'm especially going to try to go to the main colleges left looking at me, Auburn, NC State, East Carolina, North Carolina and Wake."
That list of schools appears to be the one sticking out the most to Bridges.
"Those are definitely my top colleges," he said. "Those are the ones that pretty much keep in touch on a regular basis with me. I talk to them a lot and they still want to get me even though most of the 2011 class is filled up. Also, I've actually visited all those schools and they are very, very nice."
Meanwhile, on the season Bridges and Butler have jumped out to a 3-0 start after defeating Richmond County this past week.
"We won 21-7 and we're doing really well," he said. In three games, I have an interception and about 30 tackles. I'm seeing an improvement and understand what everyone means by having experience back there. It's not as hard to do stuff and in fact it's getting really easy."
