Brewer starts to set up summer schedule

Every college in the nation is familiar with Matthews (N.C.) Butler in 2008. That's because the school features five potential Division I prospects. Certainly the least known of those at this time is 6-foot-2, 216-pound wide receiver Mickey Brewer who claims one offer so far.
"I've got one offer from Presbyterian and that's all I know right now," he said. "I've been busy playing baseball, so I'm just getting back into football. I do know that Ball State, NC State, Richmond, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Kent State, North Carolina and Northwestern like me a lot.

"I think they all want me to come to camp because they are very interested."
Brewer just finished up his baseball season helping his team to a 27-2 record.
"We finished the year losing to a team that was ranked in the top 40 in the nation," he said. "I played a real good pitcher and got three hits off of him. I believe that impressed a lot of scouts for baseball. I do like baseball, but I'm getting a lot more interest in football."
As for football, summer is here and Brewer plans to head to at least a few college camps.
"I know I'm going to North Carolina and NC State because they are close," he said. "I may go to Vanderbilt, possibly Northwestern and Ball State too."
At this time, the North Carolina prospect claims there are no favorites.
