The Cardinal were likely the favorite for Barrow soon after they offered him in June. He described Stanford as a dream school in an interview with Cardinal Sports Report. He visited the school with him mom when he was nine years old:

"Something about it made it my dream to go there," he laughed. "I'd always heard about how hard it is to go there. I made it a goal of mine."

Barrow has bounced around to several schools and most of his schooling hasn't been in the United State. He attended a Canadian school from age 8 to 17.

Last season at Clearwater Academy he was the change-of-pace back in tandem with a a big senior who now is at Western Illinois. Barrow ran for 1,007 yards and 14 touchdowns at an impressive 11.1 yards per carry.

The most intriguing stats in Barrow's profile are his testing numbers from two different The Opening Regionals in 2019. Both his SPARQ scores were better than 123 and he posted a 4.48 40-yard dash, 4.02 shuttle, and 39.9 inch vertical.

Barrow and Clearwater are scheduled to open the season Sept. 11 at Brentwood Academy in Tennessee. Brentwood Academy is one of the top teams in its state and will give Barrow a nice showcase opportunity to show his ability as the lead back.
