Breeland breaks down Oregon

Jacob Breeland was a virtual unknown in recruiting circles until the last few days when he caught a lot of people off-guard by committing to Oregon.
The Mission Viejo (Calif.) Trabuco Hills tight end visited with the Ducks late last week and decided it was time to end his recruitment after talking with the coaches and seeing all Oregon had to offer.

"I took my visit up there Thursday and Friday and it was amazing," Breeland said. "I loved all the coaches. The coaching staff I like how they are and how they treat the players.
"The facilities are obviously ridiculous and amazing. The academics for the student-athlete are really nice how they help you and care about your education and give you a bright future.
"I went home and talked to my parents. My dad went with me. He loved it as well. I just came home and talked about it, prayed with my family and it was good."
Breeland, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound prospect, had no other offers. He said Duke, Colorado, San Jose State, Yale and Brown were the main programs recruiting him and then Oregon swooped in and landed his commitment.
The Ducks plan to use him in a variety of ways on offense. Oregon assistant coach Tom Osborne has handled his recruitment.
"They offered before I went up there and they asked me to come up there so I went up," Breeland said.
"They have a hybrid tight end so they move their tight end out to slot receiver so I'll probably be doing that. They said mostly tight end but whatever I can do they'll use me as well."
Since the Ducks have gotten involved, Breeland said USC and Washington have also reached out but he is sticking with his pledge and does not plan to ever switch.
"It's too late," Breeland said. "I'm staying committed no matter what."
