Bredeson talks Michigan State offer

A year ago, Rivals100 offensive tackle Ben Bredeson had none of his 13 current offers and was in contact with just one school - Michigan State. Last week the Spartans came through with an offer.
"I got to talk with Coach (Mark) Dantonio and it was great," Bredeson said. "It was a good talk and he said he had a scholarship for me if I wanted it. He told me they like me and want me to come back out there sometime to check out a game, get back on campus. He said they're excited to see how it goes and they're going to try to steal me away from the Badger State."

Bredeson's recruitment has taken off since he first made contact with Michigan State during September of his sophomore year, but last week's offer has the Spartan's in-play has his recruitment goes forward.
"It was a longer process with Michigan State (but) they are still in time," Bredeson said. "It is a school I will definitely consider and maybe try to get out there again later this fall."
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Bredeson made his first game visit of the season two weekends ago to Notre Dame. He has not set any additional game visits, but expects to see Wisconsin in the near future.
"I am going to try to get to Madison some time soon," Bredeson said. "I don't know exactly when that is going to be, it's not all finalized. It will be one of the next few games I'll get out there."
The Hartland (Wisc.) Arrowhead prospect grew up following the home-state Badgers as well as Ohio State. Both of those programs have offered, but when it comes to picking a favorite in his recruitment, his list remains wide open.
"Right now I'm not going to say I am leaning toward anybody because I haven't really figured any of that out," Bredeson said. "Mainly just the schools I have been talking to for awhile I want to check out and see what they have there that I like."
The No. 36 ranked prospect in the class of 2016 Rivals100 presented by Under Armour, Bredeson has helped his Hartland (Wisc.) Arrowhead team get out to a 3-1 start this season.
