Bredeson picks Michigan

The recruitment of Rivals100 offensive lineman Ben Bredeson has come to an end, as the Hartland (Wisc.) Arrowhead prospect announced a commitment to Michigan.
"Excited to join the Fab25," Bredeson told Rivals.com on Wednesday afternoon, referencing the nickname of Michigan's 2016 recruiting class.
Michigan was one of four finalists that emerged for Bredeson back in the winter, along with Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin. He made his most recent visit to Ann Arbor at the end of May, and said prior to that visit he was looking to build a better relationship with the coaching staff.
"(Michigan is) definitely solid in there, in the top group and one of the ones I am seriously considering" Bredeson said in mid-May. "I really like it there and could see myself going there, so I just want to meet this new staff and see how everything goes."
Despite a coaching change occurring in Ann Arbor during the middle of Bredeson's recruitment, he maintained a strong connection to the school because his older brother signed with the Michigan baseball team in the class of 2015. He also made several visits to the campus, including one for the Wolverines' night game against Penn State last October.
Bredeson becomes the 15th commitment for Michigan in the 2016 class, and the ninth in the month of June. He is also the third offensive line commit, joining fellow four-stars Michael Onwenu and Erik Swenson.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Bredeson is ranked as the No. 4 offensive tackle prospect and the No. 49 overall player in the Rivals100 for the 2016 class.
