The Big Four in college football recruiting continue to get bigger.
Sixty percent of the Rivals100 for the class of 2019 released this week come from Florida, California, Texas or Georgia. There are 59 players from the Big Four in the current version of the 2018 Rivals100, though we have an updated release coming later this month. For 2019, Florida leads the way with 16 players. California is at 15, while Georgia and Texas contributed 12 each. Here is a list of the 10 states that have at least three players.
OFFENSIVE LINE LEADS THE WAY
Not surprisingly, the most common position in the Rivals100 was offensive line, since five offensive linemen commonly line up on every play. There are 21 offensive linemen in our initial Rivals100. If you add the defensive ends and defensive tackles, the total number of defensive linemen is 19.
The position that stood out in this class is wide receiver, with 17 finding their way into the top 100. By comparison, there are just 12 defensive backs, even though there are usually more DBs than WRs on any given play. There are seven in the Athlete position, and typically a percentage of those end up as DBs.

SEC HEAVY ON EARLY COMMITS
The SEC leads the way with 11 of the 24 commitments from the Rivals100. Alabama and Georgia have three each. Seventy-six players remain on the market.

TALENT ABOUNDS AT IMG
IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., has five players in the Rivals100, while no other high school has more than two.
Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, a school similar to IMG with elite athletes from across the country, has no players in the entire Rivals250 for 2019. Bishop Gorman produced three in the 2018 Rivals250 and five in the 2017 Rivals250.
