Brazinski a top center in 09 class

Center Mark Brazinski of Somerville (N.J.) Immaculata is one of the best at his position in the Class of 2009. The 6-foot-2, 280 pound junior had a busy summer and dramatically improved his standing with college coaches. With his size and athleticism he sure to be a hot commodity as the months drag on, and there are several schools on his radar.
"I went to an Elite Combine where I did well getting my name out there," Brazinski said. "At a NIKE Camp at Penn State it was basically the same thing, getting my name out there. Then I went to a combine in Brooklyn which went well.

"The Premier Showcase was a fun day of one on ones, and at the National Underclassmen Combine I earned top offensive line honors. The Monday Night Football event at Mountain Avenue Fields was a good experience too."
Brazinski also attended camps at Boston College and Rutgers where he received attention from coaches, and he performed well at Florida's camp as well.
"Overall I had a very good performance at my combines and camps. I was able to oppose some very good talent. Through my performances it created some interest from a lot of schools. I feel I played against a lot of highly rated talent and did very well.
"My favorites right now are Rutgers, Penn State, Boston College, Miami, Florida, Michigan, Virginia, Bucknell and the University of Pennsylvania.
"I want a school that will participate in a bowl game yearly and a school that I feel comfortable with when it comes to the coaches and athletes. I also want an institution that offers a great academic program."
Brazinski expects to be recruited as a center and should be one of a few prospects at that position that fans will hear a lot about.
As a sophomore at Immaculata he recorded 40 pancake blocks without allowing a sack. He benches 350 pounds and squats 585.
