Bratton on 'Bama: "I am not going anywhere else"

ALPHARETTA, Ga. Jackson Bratton committed to Alabama in March of his sophomore year. The four-star linebacker out of Muscle Shoals (Ala.) knew where he wanted to go, so he felt there no reason to wait.

He has been on the 2020 commitment list of the Crimson Tide now for over five months and he is excited now as he was the day he made the announcement.

“I have always been a big ‘Bama fan, so with that and their need at linebacker, that made my decision to commit early easy,” said Bratton. “They made me feel needed, so I just pulled the trigger.

“I am excited. It will be another big year for Alabama and I love how the expectations are high each season. It feels great to be committed to Alabama.”

Auburn, Clemson, Tennessee and a few other schools have continued to recruit the 6-foot-3, 220 pound inside linebacker, but it appears they are wasting their time.

Bratton is not considering any other school.

“If I visit any other schools, it will be for fun. I am not going anywhere else. I am going to Alabama. I probably won’t even visit another school, but if I do, it will be for fun.

"I am definitely going to Alabama. There is no doubt in my mind."

Nick Saban and his team got off to a great start with a big win over Louisville Saturday night. Bratton will attend a lot of games in Tuscaloosa this season and he will have his eye on the position he expects to play when he gets there.

“I will be watching the linebackers this year,” said Bratton. “They don’t have a lot of depth, but the ones they do have are good.

“I think if they stay healthy and the secondary plays well, then, the team will be very good again. I look forward to watching them play hard and win games again this season.”
