Brathwaite recaps two trips

We haven't heard much from Flushing (N.Y.) Holy Cross defensive end Christopher Brathwaite in recent months, so the strong lineman recently spoke about the recruiting process.
At 6-foot-1 and 250-pounds Brathwaite has a build that makes him unique for a defensive lineman.

"Over the past couple of months everything's been pretty good," Brathwaite said not long ago. "I spoke to Rutgers and Buffalo recently. They invited me down to their camps during the summertime.
"I also spoke to Penn State. One of the main things with them is they wanted me to come down so they can see if I'm gonna play on the inside or outside (of the defensive line)."
Brathwaite took trips to Penn State and Syracuse recently. How did those visits go?
"The Penn State trip went pretty well. I visited the campus and saw everything. It was a pretty smooth junior day. It went pretty good, I'd say.
"Syracuse went well also. I really liked the way the coaches have bonded with the players. The connection between the coaches and players was nice. I also liked the feedback the players gave about the school."
Brathwaite is still waiting for his first offers to come in.
