Brandon Young updates recruitment

It's been months since we last heard from 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive end Brandon Young. Has the Louisville (Kent.) DuPont Manual star picked up his first offer yet?
"Nobody has offered, but many schools are close," he said. "Most of them are just waiting to see how everything goes. Right now I've been talking hard to Cincinnati. I think they are on the verge.

"I've talked to the coaches at Louisville and they are going strong. North Carolina State has talked to me a lot and Vanderbilt."
Plenty of other schools are also in touch through letters including Wake Forest, Oklahoma State, Duke and West Virginia.
Does anyone lead for Young at this time?
"All of them are great schools, but right now I'd say I am favoring Louisville, NC State and Vanderbilt," he said. "I checked out the academics those schools have as well as their records, coaching staffs and the players they've had there and I like all of them a lot."
Obviously the Kentucky prospect is still open. What does he want in a college?
"Of course playing time is big along with the academic side," he said. "I want someplace I'll get prepared with the coaches and I'd like somewhere that's not too cold."
Practice is in full swing for Young.
"It's going good," he said. "Everyone is playing their hardest and preparing for the season.
"I think I have improved a lot since it's my last year in high school. I've matured and am more aware of where the ball is. I recognize more now."
Young and DuPont Manual start the season on August 24th.
