Brandon Smith has a great time in Colorado

Rivals100 athlete Brandon Smith followed up an official to Michigan a week ago with a trek further west to Colorado. The New Brunswick, N.J. star was on-hand for the Buffaloes stunning victory over No. 3 Oklahoma.
"It was a great atmosphere and is very beautiful out there," he said. "It was the best game possible to go to, very intense and exciting. They upset the No. 3 team in the nation in college football.

"Colorado has a lot of talent, a hard work ethic and they capitalize on mistakes. They never gave up in that game. They were down early and kept fighting and the result is that they won the game."
How was the atmosphere at Colorado?
"The atmosphere there was incredible," he said. "It was very exciting, almost breathtaking. I noticed that the fans are behind the players from kickoff until the end of the game."
Following the game, Smith hung out with his host.
"I went out to eat with the coaches and then went out with my host, No. 26 Terrence Wheatley," he said. "It was great hanging out with him. He's a big-time corner for them and a heck of a ball player. We just talked and stuff."
On Sunday, the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder met up with head coach Dan Hawkins.
"I actually met with each coach individually including coach Hawkins," he said. "He's a great coach. I really liked him a lot. He's pretty down-to-earth and a straight up kind of guy. Any questions I had, he answered it head on."
Overall the visit was a good one for Smith.
"It was just gorgeous out there, but I really have to see everything and take the rest of my visits," he said. "I'm going to take all five. I won't commit until the All-American game."
