Brandon Miller trims list to three

The nation’s top-ranked defensive end has trimmed two schools from his list.
“Brandon told Alabama he wanted to cancel his official visit,” said Merle Miller, the mother of five-star Colquitt (Ga.) Miller County prospect Brandon Miller. “He also told the Florida Gators he wasn’t interested in them anymore. I was kind of sad about that one. I really liked those people.

“But it’s his decision, and he says he’s got it narrowed down to Georgia Tech, Florida State and Georgia. It’s going to be a hard for him to pick between those three, because I know it was real hard just to get this far.”
The Yellow Jackets made an in-home visit on Thursday night, one that caught Merle Miller by surprise.
“I thought it was Alabama who was coming tonight, and since I knew he was letting them know they weren’t on his list anymore, I didn’t think we were going to have company,” she said. “So I was in Albany, and I got a call that I have a house full of people, and Brandon is there on his own.
“He wound up entertaining them for a while, and by the time I got home, he was asleep and I talked to the coaches some on my own. So that was a little unusual, but we had a good visit with them.”
Miller has made visits to Florida State and Georgia Tech. His last trip is scheduled for the 30th at Georgia.
A member of the Rivals100 Team, Miller (6-4, 225, 4.65) is rated the No. 7 player in the nation overall.
