Brandon Jones shakes things up

Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township wide receiver Brandon Jones took his first of three scheduled official visits this past weekend. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder made his way to Toledo before heading on trips to Rutgers and Virginia in the coming weeks.
"I loved it at Toledo," he said. "I got there on Friday night and pretty much hung out with the players, saw the facilities and talked to some of the academic advisors.

"My host on the trip was Steve Williams. He was the coolest dude. Our personalities fit well and he's from Texas. He told me it is doable academic wise and it is good football there in the MAC. He mentioned how he caught 73 receptions this year as a sophomore. He told me some good things about the team."
What did Jones think of the coaching staff?
"I got along with all of the coaches really well," he said. "In fact, they are flying in to see me this week.
"They talked about me coming in and playing right away at receiver since they have two seniors graduating."
What would the two-star prospect rate the trip?
"I'd give it a nine," he said. "I'd say the facilities were a five or six, but they are getting new indoor facilities soon. It is somewhere I'm comfortable."
Before making his way to Toledo this weekend, Jones took an unofficial to Rutgers on Friday.
"I loved that visit too," he said. "It was real nice. The coaches showed how much they care and they didn't say they want me, they talked about how they need me to come to their program. I thought the facilities were top notch."
From here, the Garden State prospect has shifted his visits around a bit.
"I'm going to William & Mary this coming weekend the 18th," he said. "Then I'll head to Rutgers on the 25th and then to Virginia on February 2nd. I'm just looking to compare all the visits, the pros and cons."
