"I had a good time at Nebraska," the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Brandenburgh said. "They have some very nice facilities up there and put on a good showing for us while we were up there.
"I also liked K-State a lot. I had a good time there. Things look really good there this year for them. I got a chance to visit with Coach (Bret) Bielema a while before the game. He's the linebacker coach and one of the defensive coordinators. I really like him. I didn't get to talk to the coaches after the game like I would have liked to, but that is alright."
So far, Brandenburgh is only holding one scholarship offer.
"Kansas is the only scholarship offer I have right now. I think Coach (Mark) Mangino has things going in the right direction there and things are going to get turned around there. But right now, K-State and Nebraska are one and two on my list."
Other schools on Brandenburgh's list are Colorado, LSU, Notre Dame and UCLA.
Brandenburgh hopes to squeeze in summer camps at Nebraska and a couple other schools.
"I won't have time to go to them the entire time. So, I hope to get to the ones I want to for a couple days at each one and then go on to the next one."
Brandenburgh as a list of things he is looking for in a school.
"I will look at academics first. I want to be able to get a good education. Then I want to find a school that has a good athletics program to compete in. Then the third thing is the location of the school. It won't be the deciding factor, but it will be one I look at."
