Brand has three favorites

Bradenton (Fla.) Southeast wide receiver Boe Brand has narrowed his focus when it comes to his recruitment. The 6-foot, 160-pound wide receiver has three schools at the top of his list.
"Schools really in the picture for me right now is Illinois, USF, and Rutgers," Brand said.

He will take his first official visit this weekend.
"I am taking a trip on Friday," Brand said. "I am going to the University of Illinois."
Entering his visit, he knows a bit about the Illini and their head coach.
"I know a bit about Ron Zook and that he is a good coach," Brand said. "I know they have experienced a lot of stuff up there. I don't really know a lot of stuff so that is why I am going up there and taking a visit so I can learn more stuff."
Brand's recruitment will continue into January with him planning to visit both of his other favorites.
"I plan to visit USF and Rutgers in January," Brand said. "I plan to take all three of my visits before I decide. I will decide after the three visits."
When it comes time to make a decision, Brand said he will just know which school is right for him after having been on their campus.
"Wherever I like and I feel comfortable at, that is where I am going to go to," Brand said. "That is where I am going to be living. So when I take my visits to my schools, whichever one I like the most that is where I am going to commit to."
Brand finished his senior season with 57 receptions for 800-plus yards and eight touchdowns.
Academically, he earned a 21 on the ACT.
