Braithwaite making a name for himself
Rising junior cornerback Cody Braithwaite knew that he had a great deal to prove to everyone this summer considering he has played his high school ball at Montreal (Quebec) Vieux. So Braithwaite made it a point to attend several camps in the U.S. and believes he accomplished what he set out to do.

Braithwaite, 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, attended camps at Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Rutgers this summer. He gave a quick rundown on each of the four camps.
Ohio State: "I was top three at cornerback, and also at outside linebacker. Coach Coombs, the cornerbacks coach, personally handed me his card and told me to contact him. Coach Bowers also traded contact information with me. He seemed very interested."
Michigan: "Michigan also went well. I played only cornerback. I met with Coach Mattison and Coach Mallory."
Rutgers: "I played only linebacker. I met with Coach Flood and Coach Rossi. I learned a lot. Coach Rossi was impressed with my movement skills. Maine, Princeton, Wagner, New Hampshire and Monmouth were all also interested at the camp."
Penn State: "I did not perform at 100% because I sprained my ankle."
With this being his first trip to the United State to attend camps, Braithwaite explained his overall experience.
"It felt amazing," he said. "I did not think I could keep up with the kids out there. They seemed a lot better on tape. But I was happy to show coaches that Canada has great talent. I have always been a fan of college football, even back when Ray Lewis was at Miami. I follow more American football than Canadian football. I love watching and following top level football."
Since he started watching college football in the United State, a few programs have stood out to him.
"I have always been a big fan of Rutgers, since they were the first team in the NCAA," he said. "I have also been following Ohio State for a few years now. That is why I decided to go camp there earlier this summer."
