Bradford adds offer, favorites

St. Simon’s (Ga.) Glynn Academy tight end Jake Bradford could be hanging his head right now. His team needed to win its game Friday night and then win again next week to make the state playoffs. Everything seemed perfect as his team jumped out to a 28-0 lead. But then some how the other team came back and won in over time.
That alone would make people hang their head, but for Branford, a solid pass-catcher, his team has also shifted to a wing-T attack that caused his reception numbers to plummet.

“It’s Ok,” he said. “I’ve used the season to become a more complete player. I’m a better blocker now, and that’s going to help me a lot when I get to the next level. I’m plying good when I do get a chance to catch the ball. I have eight or nine catches and have four touchdowns.”
Bradford, who is 6-foot-6 and 234 pounds, is also keeping his head up on the recruiting front.
With scholarship offers from Ball State and UCF, Bradford said he hopes to pick up a few more offers before makes a decision.
“I’ve been talking also to Georgia Tech, Duke and Vanderbilt,” Bradford said. “Hopefully they’re going to offer me, because I would like to go someplace like there. I’ve not set up any visits quite yet, but I’ve been going to a lot of games to see what it’s like at places.”
